Hello all, this is my first blog post on medium. I am a second year undergraduate interested in anything related to Artificial Intelligence. I am learning Machine Learning and Deep Learning from past one year and I just wanted to share some tips if anyone wants to get started in this field or have just started.

This is not the post which will bombard you with a bunch of resources to learn from. Instead the points discussed here are very crucial which are not discussed often.

Jupyter notebooks are infact the defacto tool for Machine Learning. They make it insanely easy to prototype models, experiment with new pipelines and are therefore great for learning purpose.

Google Colab is a great free tool which is built on top of Jupyter notebooks and provides free access to GPU’s. Although they have a downside too. You can only work with Jupyter notebooks and a robust development environment is not available (by default).

I am a big fan of VSCode and I really don’t like Jupyter Notebooks much (please don’t hate me for this..)
